Design

I have clients that bring me a picture of a cake they’ve seen that they love and ask me to replicate it. I am happy to incorporate elements of an existing design (please note that this depends upon obtaining permission from the original designer) however I prefer to design something specifically for YOU. Your cake should reflect your event, your personality, your style.

Ideally, you will have a colour palette in mind, an invitation, a fabric cutting or a theme to set the mood. I’ve designed cakes based on the favourite toy of a child that could be used as a keepsake – something unique to that client. Each Sweet Tiers creation tells a story – I specialise in bringing your ideas to life in an edible creation that will blow you and your guests away!

If you don’t know where to start, that’s ok too – I will guide you through the process and together we can design a cake you didn’t even realise you always wanted!

How much notice do you require?

We advise that you book your cake a minimum of 4-6  weeks prior to your event date.  Wedding cakes should be booked in 6-8 months before the big day. Bookings are confirmed once a design and price have been finalised and a deposit has been paid to secure your date. Generally speaking, I encourage clients to book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment as I do not ‘hold’ dates. We take a limited number of orders and are often booked well in advance.

Cost

Each Sweet Tiers creation is ‘made to measure’ and takes many, many hours to create. Final price will take in to account the size of your cake, the number of hours required to complete the cake and the complexity of your creation.

As a basic guide:
A single tier (8” round)  – from $300
Two tiered cakes – from  $500
Three tiered cakes – from $900
3D / novelty cakes start at $450.

Decorated cookies and cupcakes – minimum of 24 per order / per design
As a guide standard cupcakes with buttercream swirl – $5 each / fondant from $6
Vanilla sugar cookies decorated with fondant – from $5 each

Macarons – minimum of 20 per flavour – $3 each

Please note that we have a minimum of $300 per order – which can be made up of any of the aforementioned items.

A delivery fee is charged in addition to this and depends on the location of your event
Please note that we do not ship cakes interstate or overseas.

Storage

Sweet Tiers cakes are covered in fondant and therefore do not require refrigeration. If not being delivered to the final venue, cakes should be kept in a cool place, out of direct sunlight.

Terms and Conditions

To secure your date and order,  a 50% non refundable deposit is required.
The balance of your order is payable in full 2 weeks before your event.
If payment is not received in full two weeks before the booked date then we reserve the right to cancel your order.
Any changes to the design or size of the cake cannot be made within 2 weeks of the booked date.
Sweet Tiers cannot be held responsible for any damage incuured to the cake once we have safely delivered and set it up at your venue. Likewise, we cannot be held responsible for any mishaps once a cake has been collected.
