I had the privilege of being asked to make a cake to feature on Kara Allen of Kara’s Party Ideas‘ Sweet Dreams table on display at the Kara Party Ideas Workshop in Melbourne. Well, how surprised was I when I received the call on a Thursday afternoon that the Kara’s Party Ideas juggernaut that was currently touring Australia wanted me to create a cake for one of her stunning displays for the Melbourne stop – for Friday morning.
A bit gobsmacked actually. So of course I said YES!

No, not much sleep was had that night!  I loved making this cake for Kara..
Ombre hues of baby blue ruffles to compliment the soft lines and beautiful details of Kara’s styling.

I was also invited to be part of a discussion panel at the Workshop for party stylists with Sooti Event Styling + Design, Leo & Bella and Paper Eskimo. I also met so many lovely, talented people – Melbourne has it going on!

Thank you to the lovely Sarah of Sugar Coated Mama for being so hilarious and such a pleasure to work with. What a day!
